Every year, Pantone – a color consulting firm – announces the color that will mark the following year. After a difficult 2020, next year has two colors: ultimate gray (or solid gray) and illuminating (or bright yellow). The combination might seem a bit odd, but if you like to follow the trends, these colors might work pretty well in your decor. Take a look at the tips Lar Center has prepared for you:
GRAY COUCH
Ultimate gray, or even other shades of gray, is a great option for couches, armchairs and other upholsteries. After all, it is a neutral shade that matches easily with the other colors in the room. Gray also represents elegance and sophistication when it comes to decoration. Not to mention that it contributes a lot to minimalist styles, as we have mentioned before in the blog.
BRIGHT WALL
A yellow wall? It can be a tough color to use and, occasionally, it makes the environment a bit heavy. An excellent alternative is to highlight just one wall with the color. This provides a modern mood to the room without being too much. It can also be used in smaller decoration items or wallpapers.
COLORFUL OBJECTS
If you don’t want a dramatic change in your decor and still want to follow the trend of Pantone 2021 colors, you can always choose to use smaller gray or yellow objects. Cushions, bean bags, wall frames and other items give your room a final touch and make any place more charming.
According to Pantone, the 2021 colors express how different elements get together to support each other and convey an idea o “strength and positivity”. So stay tuned for the latest releases in furniture and decoration because these colors are definitely going to be seen a lot.
